Beach Clean Up with Theta Tau

Saving the planet one bottle cap at a time! 🌎 Today we visited Coastal Steward to celebrate International Coastal Cleanup Day, and teamed up with brothers from Theta Tau to pick up trash. While it was hot, being able to bond with each other AND clean the environment made the whole day worth it! 🤝

SUNY’s Got Your Back

This past Monday, our brothers had the opportunity to participate in the SUNY’s Got Your Back service event! We created comfort kits for victims and survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence while learning about methods of preventing and responding to acts of violence.

This past weekend, our brothers attended the annual Principled Business Leadership Institute in Atlantic City! Through various workshops and seminars, we were able to improve our leadership and communication skills, as well network with brothers from other chapters and business professionals. It was a rewarding experience and the brothers had a great time!

The Psi Pi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi at Stony Brook University was founded in 2010. In just 9 years, we've grown to an alumni base of over 130 members and have built strong connections to the College of Business and Career Center. We have alumni in some of the biggest companies out there including Ernst & Young, Ogilvy, Citi Group, Bloomberg, and more.

5k/10k Race

December 3, 2018

Our brothers supported all the runners at the annual NYC 5k/10k as they made their way around the park track. We respected their perseverance as they made their way through the finish line despite the cold and rain.

Soup Kitchen

Happy Thanksgiving! This Thanksgiving weekend, our brothers volunteered at the St. James Roman Catholic Church's Soup Kitchen and helped serve hearty meals and sweet desserts to many families, so that they could celebrate this holiday with full stomachs and big smiles.

Take Steps Walk

October 21, 2018

Our brothers volunteered for the Take Steps Walk hosted by the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. They supported participants, provided food, and helped raise awareness about the diseases in hopes of finding a cure.

Resume Review

Our chapter successfully cohosted a resume workshop with Stony’s Kappa Phi Lambda and Pi Delta Psi. We would like to thank Jimmy from the university Career Center for giving us professional tips and guidelines to improve our resumes.

CASB x ASA Cultural Carnival

Our brothers enjoyed hosting and participating at game booths during this year’s Cultural Carnival. We would like to extend our gratitude to cultural groups CASB and ASA for organizing this event and to all participants of our Picture Matching game.

Poconos

Our brothers took a trip to the Poconos this fall break and spent their time hiking the mountains, exploring the local area, and appreciating the scenery. The trip was a great way for our brothers to relax their minds and bond with one another.

Mock Interview Day

Alpha Kappa Psi cohosted Mock Interview Day with the Stony Brook Career Center. Our brothers received important interview tips from recruiters at various companies and networked with fellow Stony Brook students of similar professional interests.
